Description

The Individualism and Collectivism portion of the parent interview was adapted from Singelis, Triandis, Bhawk & Gelfand (1995), Tam, Shiah & Chang (2003) and Traiandis (1995). In this measure parents rate the importance of different values related to their autonomy and belonging to a social group. Parents are asked whether they 1=strongly disagree, 2=disagree, 3=agree or 4=strongly agree with a series of 16 statements.
